Welcome to the U.S.S. Comfort!

The U.S.S. Comfort is an Olympic Class Hospital ship. Being a mobile hospital our orders are to help planets, civilizations, ships, and stations with severe medical emergencies. Whether it is assisting with a planet wide pandemic or a sickness that has made a ship quarantine itself we will be there.

Being a member of the crew, you can choose to work in Starship Operations, which is the departments that run the starship, such as Flight Control, Operations, Engineering, Security, Tactical, and Sciences. Or you can work in the Medical services and work in a medical specialty, whether it is general practice, surgery, emergency department, EMS, or a specialty medical field. There is also the option to work in support services which contain the Diplomatic Detachment and civilian affairs.

Commander Venik
Commanding Officer

Posted on Sun Feb 21st, 2021 @ 10:54pm by Commander Venik M.D. in Sim Announcement

@everyone Due to my busy RL, I have been super inactive as of late. For the last month and a half, I have put all of my simming on the back burner and have thought long and hard about what I was going to do. This last week I started simming again on a couple of my sims since my crazy life is leveling out at very crazy and my body and mind are adjusting.

As most of you know, I run another sim, the SS Ceres, which was started last September in Theta Fleet, then I moved it here to Pegasus Fleet in November. I knew that my life was going to get crazy, and I thought I could run 2 sims, I was wrong. So after thinking about it, and it wasn't easy, I decided to step down as CO of the Comfort.

So with that said, that doesn't mean the end of the Comfort. If feel you have what it takes to run a sim, and you want to keep the comfort going, please message @Amethyst on Discord or email her at cfops@pegasusfleet.net and you can talk.

I thank you for the short time I was CO, we did great with winning several awards, as well as some great posts.

If you are interested in COing the sim, please do message @Amethyst she doesn't bite... much! I will be around on the PF server, or if you want to keep simming with me, I am on several sims in the fleet (That I am still working on getting active on again) or I will see you on the Ceres!

Thank You,
John aka Coffee Addict

» U.S.S. Comfort November Report

Posted on Mon Nov 30th, 2020 @ 4:22am by Commander Venik M.D. in General News

Hey Everyone!
This has been our first full month! I am super excited that we are doing so well! Keep up the good work. Today, I submitted our monthly report to Pegasus Fleet, and I am going to be sharing that report with all of you!

New Crew

First, I want to start in welcoming the crew, that joined us this month! In no certain order, please welcome the following crew, again, to our crew!
Syrial J\'naii MD - Chief Medical Officer
Leland Hawksley - Chief Engineer
Riaothren ch\'Shaorhs - Head Nurse
Stan Collin More - Science Officer
Vivienne Erebos - Chief of Surgery
Chloe Simpson - Chief of EMS

Now, onto awards! This is the most exciting part! So here we go!

CO's Merit: Calvin Rhodes
Calvin is an excellent character. Nate, and I have developed a little rivalry between the characters, as Calvin
sees the CO as a glorified doctor with a commission to command the ship. It is really adding flavor to the usual CO/XO friendship. I
can\'t wait to see how it turns out!

XO's Merit: Stan More
Fantastic growth, and rolling with all the punches as well as being very involved OOC

Crew's Choice Award: Venik
I am actually surprised to see this, and I am having a hard time writing this. I am feeling a little awkward to accept it, but I am honored. Here is why I was nominated for this award.
"He got the sim together and he did an amazing job so far making everyone feel welcome. "
"I feel it is fitting that the Commander, Captain of the USS Comfort, for his efforts at gathering a crew together, having us underway on a cool mission! A great start to a bright simming future."

Mission and Posting Stats

Current Mission Title: Episode 1: The Root of All Evil

Our current mission is going great! I am so proud of all of you and the amazing work that we are doing together. I am super excited for what you guys can come up with to help out with this mission. Let's keep it going!

Total Number of Posts This Month: 41
WOW! Can I just say WOW! I never expected this in our first month, and can I just say that it is extremely awesome that we had such a great month. Thank you all. This couldn't have been done without you. Let's keep it up.

Post of the Month submission:

This month, I read through the posts that were posted, and they were all good. I decided on the post, Power Struggle by Commander Calvin Rhodes & Lieutenant Khrysara Ral Daughter of the Fifth House of Betazed [PNPC - Rhodes] & Commander Venik M.D. & Ensign Stan More

I chose this post, because it truly shows the relationship of several characters and how those will play out. Venik and Rhodes and their power struggle, as well as Ral and More as their counseling relationship.

Goals for December

So, something else that I want to include in these reports is my goals for the next month. For December, I would like us to continue as we have been! Keep posting, and moving on our mission. We will be spending most of, if not all of December at Yamus V working on helping the people there.

Keep up the great work people! If you have any questions, let the Command Team know!

» Moving on the Mission!

Posted on Sat Nov 28th, 2020 @ 11:43pm by Commander Venik M.D. in Sim Announcement

Hey All! I am moving the mission along so that we can start some fun stuff! Mission Day 2 - 4 is now open! 2-4 we are in warp, so this time an be used this way for the departments:

All Starship Operations departments: Posts about running the ship. Maybe small glitches here and there. Remember, the Comfort is not a new ship.
Command: Command the ship. Help out where needed.
Flight Control: Flight Controllery stuff. Help engineering with repairs or working in shuttlebay.
Security/Tactical: Training Drills, phaser training
Operations: Work with Engineering to make repairs. Make sure all departments have the equipment they need.
Engineering: Make repairs or maintenance to the ship. Small things can happen, but nothing where we have to shut down the warp core.
Science: Work with medical to analyze what we have from the planet.

All Medical Departments: Prep your departments.
Medical Services: Check in with the other medical departments to make sure everything is running smoothly. Perform physicals.
Medical Detachment: Prep sickbay, and emergency sickbay for possible need.
Surgical Ward: Prep the surgical bays.
Medical Services: Work with medical departments to look at the data from the planet. Positions that don't work with virology (Physical Therapy, for example) can work with patients.
Mental Health Services: Check in with crew and check their mental health status.
EMS: Prep EMS, maybe run some drills

All Support Services: Too broad for this.
Diplomatic Corps: Prep for diplomatic needs
Civilian: Work in your departments.
Chaplains: Check in with crew.

And ALL CREW, you can work on sub plots and any development you want to pursue with your characters. I am also going to copy this into the mission notes!

I just want to say Welcome to all of you! Thank you all for taking this journey with me and I am stoked about where this ship will go!

We just need 1 more play for Pegasus Fleet to consider us active, and I would like to get at least 1 player and a few more NPC/PNPCs in the medical departments as our mission will need those!

Again! Welcome!
